I have lived my life pleasing everyone around me. I have never taken a moment to look in the mirror and see who is the most important person. I am done being treated like shit from people. I have already removed negative people from my life but I need to take it one step further. I have been hurt so many times by people I thought I could trust. People I thought loved me. I'm done. I still know it's going to be hard for me to actually stand up for myself cause I've never been able to do it. But I'm going to try! I'm sick of almost everyone in my life bullying me and putting me down like I mean nothing. I have done nothing to deserve this from the people who are my family. I've always wanted to be the person people can turn to when they are sad, but no more. Being this kind of person just makes people use me. They use me and leave and I'm done with that. The friends I have in my life are my true friends. I will no longer allow negative people in my life who do nothing but bully me and bring me down. Even if that means certain family members I will no longer see, I don't care. I tried. I really really tried and I will no longer be that person who sits by and let's people hurt me just so I don't hurt anyone else. I have been hurt enough. I wish I could go back in time and stand up for myself in situations so I don't have to feel like this on a daily basis. But I can't. But I have to start at some point. And I don't know why but this morning was my breaking point. I'm done being a nice girl to everyone I meet. I am done being a push over. I need to learn to make myself happy again! I used to be and thanks to people treating me like shit, I no longer remember what that feels like.

Being as excited as I am to be going back to school, it really upsets me when members of my own family look at me and say, really? that's what you want to do?
Umm? Thanks? Yes, I wouldn't say being a unit clerk is my "dream job" but it is a really great career to have, being in health care, there will always be jobs because people are always going to be sick. I've grown up and I know I would rather be in a field where I have a guaranteed job, good money an hour, and health insurance, then have my dream job but not being able to afford things.
I am so excited to finally be going back to school! I am really looking forward to my classes and I think I am going to enjoy this and be good at it!
I can take people who don't know me saying things like that. But from my family, who is suppose to support me? No, that's just not right!

An update from my post earlier today!
I received a call today that one of my classes was cancelled because not enough people registered in it!
Luckily, I was able to find the same class at a different time and register for that one! I was very lucky too because it fell right before another class and I wouldn't have to move around any of my other classes to make this one fit!

Good things about this new class!
It's still the same class I was in before, just a different time
This one is from 9:30AM-11AM, where my other one was from 6PM-9PM so I won't have to kill 6 hours between 2 classes, then take the train home so late at night
Now all my days, I finish classes by 12:30, so I can go home, study or do whatever
Both my classes Wednesday and Friday are in the same room! So I don't even have to move my butt!

Bad things about this class
I had to re-write up my schedule and now it's all covered in white-out and looks horrible!

Oh no!

Just got a call that one of my courses for January has been cancelled cause not enough students signed up! Uh no!! I need my intro to hospital organization course to get my certificate !! Hopefully can get this all sorted out!!

Puppy

I need a puppy! I had a terrible, horrible and absolutely shitty day and the only reason I had somewhat of a smile is this little adorable puppy I am babysitting for my cousin. I don't know what it is about dogs that just instantly know when you need a friend and crawl right over and lay on your face. But I love it. And I want a puppy of my own.

I would like to give a shout out to my manager Jerry!
He knew I was upset and told me that if I needed to be off the floor, let him know and he would make it happen. If I needed to go home, he'd make sure I could.
I was really worried about work today, and having a manager actually care made me realize how lucky I am to have managers who actually care about me and how I'm feeling.

Still feel like total crap. Wishing so bad I didn't have to put on a smile and work for 9 hours today.

Angry customer: I'm not mad at you, this is just frustrating.
Well how about you don't be a total bitch to me then! Cause it isn't my fault and I'm sick of listening to you scream at me for something I know nothing about and have zero control over!
I never understand why people think as soon as they walk into a store, employees are expected to bow down to them and treat them like they are Queen or something! People need to calm down when they are in retail locations. Sometimes we don't have things in stock and sometimes I don't know what you are talking about. I will do what I can to help you! But it seriously gets very hard not to scream back at some people when I am doing everything I can to help them and they are being beyond ridiculous about something I literally have no control over.

Thanksgiving

Spent Sunday with Geoff and his family! Had such an amazing time and got to meet his sis and grandma!!! So happy to feel welcome by his family!
Today, Geoff came to my family thanksgiving! Met the whole huge family and so happy!
I'm thankful for my family! For my big sister who means the world to me! Best room mate ever!
I'm thankful to my friends who have been there for me throughout everything. Lord knows I went through some shitty few months and my friends and family were there for me the whole time.
