Pins

The best thing happened at work last night.
I was down at cart with Krista and a family came up to us and the son and daughter wanted to see our pins. So Krista and I held out our lanyards for them to take a look.
The boy saw on my lanyard a pin he wanted and he seemed super excited about it. But then when he looked at his lanyard, realized the one pin he had left to trade had fallen off his lanyard!
So him and his mom went back looking to see if they could find it.
When they passed by Canada again, I went up to them and asked if they found it, they replied no. And the boy looked as though he was going to burst into tears.
So I looked at him and said, I know how you feel, it stinks when you lose a pin. They are a lot of money and then when you find an even better one you want to trade for and you can't, it just stinks, so here, you can have this one.
And I gave him the pin he wanted. No trade required.
He was so happy! His face just lit up and his whole family was so nice about it! They were all so happy and they kept saying thank you! I was so happy, it just warmed a place in my heart and that little boy was so happy to get the pin he wanted.
This is why I love my job
